Cautionary status entry: 2020-permitted ~US$200M (reported) project abandoned in original form after Chile's Second Environmental Court partially revoked its permit over aquifer/water use (Feb 2024); Google committed to restart permitting 'from scratch' with air cooling and 24/7 carbon-free energy. No new approval as of mid-2026. Google's operational Chilean site remains Quilicura.
